Vincenzo Fiore
Born in 1981 in Palermo, Sicily, I completed my studies in Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture in Florence, Tuscany, a city that has since become both my home and my studio. In 2018, I designed my first knife, beginning a journey of exploration in knife design that continues to this day.
I am drawn to minutiae, to details, and I recognize in them an incredible expressive power. I love the balance of forms, when the slightest variation of a curve can alter the perception of the whole and awaken an emotion. I seek that hidden magic, the one that resides in the emotion born of shapes. A magic I also find in the simplicity of a mechanism or in the sheen of a finish.
Over the past years, I have discovered a subtle thread connecting the worlds of art, architecture, and visual communication with that of knife design. It is within this interplay of influences that I have found the inspiration for my personal journey.
Today, I explore the dialogue between the classical and the contemporary; in my work, I search for a synthesis between worlds that appear distant, yet reveal a deeper meaning only when they merge together.
