The RWL-34 mirror polished Razonet blade is obtained through a long process which involves passages of sandpaper (from 120 to 5000 grit) and diamond pastes up to 2 micron. The blade is hardened in vacuum environment + cryogenic treatment and reaches 61 HRC, the sharpening process creates a mirror finish edge through a 4000 grit Tormek water wheel + 2 micron Poly Diamond Emulsion stropping. The blade run on SS balls bearings with hand-tuned hardened steel washers.
The integral handle is made of solid Ti 6Al-4v, the surface finish is obtained through a diamond lapping process up to 40 micron lapping film.
Ti 6Al-4v custom slotted head screws and collars are held together by a custom 17-4 PH Precipitation Hardening Stainless Steel pivot barrel, the Aligned pivot barrel system manages the hardware pairing with h7/H7 tolerance range between shaft and bore.
Razonet has no blade locking system, there is a magnetic detent that integrates a neodymium magnet (NbFeb, 141 kgf) in the channel handle. The magnet never touches the blade either in the open or closed position, all this thanks to tight tolerances and specific geometries milled inside the channel.
